Renaissance flutes.

These renaissance flutes are based on a set of early C17 flutes in the Biblioteca Capitolare, Verona. They are made from pear-wood, plum-wood or sycamore and are scaled slightly to play at modern pitch, although other pitches are available to order.

The treble (or alto) is in either A or G, the tenor is in D and these are made in one piece. The bass, made in two pieces, is in G. Matched sets can be ordered, for consort use.

Left to right: Bass in G, stained sycamore; alto in G, pear-wood; tenor in D, sycamore; alto in A, stained sycamore; bass in G, stained rippled sycamore; (on ground) tenor in D, in pear-wood.
